The Spirit Who Unites: Let Divine Forgiveness Overflow

Fr Joby George VC reflects on the Holy Spirit as the Spirit who unites and on unforgiveness as a root that divides families, relationships and communities. Drawing on Scripture and his own struggles with anger and forgiveness, he explains why human forgiveness becomes exhausted and why we need to receive the forgiveness of Jesus from the Cross until it overflows from us to others.

Do Not Quench the Spirit

Fr Michael Payyapilly VC reflects on what it means to quench the Holy Spirit. When the self becomes the centre, our own voice can become louder than the Spirit, moral boundaries shift around what satisfies us, and what appears to be freedom can become slavery. The Spirit calls us instead to die to self, receive the truth of Christ, allow ourselves to be moulded and become people prepared for eternal life.
